Internships and Wwoofing:
Unfortunately we are not currently accepting interns or work-traders. Check back with us in 2022.
We offer internships and work-trade (WWOOF) positions from April through November, building community on our farm with upwards of 5 to 10 people at a time. Since 2012 we've hosted over 80 people from around the world! Our internship entails full immersion into our farm, practices, business, and farm lifestyle. You will live with us and other interns/wwoofers on our land, engage in our educational programs, have access to off-farm educational programs and fun activities in our area, and be a part of our farming business operations as you learn the ins and outs of farming in the Northeastern region of the United States.
The educational opportunities of interning are much more than work trading, since you'll get to experience a full season (or more) and will learn aspects of our farming operations as well as our business, including starting seeds, transplanting, building gardens, animal husbandry, bee keeping, food preparation and preservation, planning, taxes and permitting, and much more!
All interns and wwoofers are five days on, two full days off, and we are flexible with scheduling. The positions include housing, all food, all utilities (laundry, internet, tv, etc), education, and a small monthly stipend for internships. You must be physically fit and able to carry at least 30 pounds (water buckets, building materials, etc…), work hard / play hard, and enjoy working with animals, plants, soil, and other people. More information can be found here on our ATTRA NCAT listing.
